Meet India’s youngest vegan baby girl born on 24 November 2019.
Kuntal and Dipti Joisher’s daughter has been named Rewa after a naming ceremony on 4 December 2019. She was born after a full vegan pregnancy at Ashwini Hospital at Ghatkopar East, Mumbai.
The excited father messaged, ” Narmada, one of the holiest rivers of India, flows through the center of India through the states of Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat, making the land fertile and creating a thriving civilization before merging with the Arabian sea. Narmada also known as Rewa, is the lifeline of states of MP and Gujarat. It’s also one of the oldest rivers in India formed during the times when dinosaurs walked this planet. In ancient mythology its meaning is mother and the giver of peace. ”
He continued, ” We decided to name our daughter Rewa for two reasons:
1) To honor where our ancestors come from i.e. the state of Gujarat
2) To have a name that signifies the nature, outdoors, wilderness.. and to have a strong connection to the mountains as rivers and mountains are inseparable entities!”
