 1. Turmeric For Overall immunity

Turmeric is a plant that has a very long history of medicinal use, dating back nearly 4,000 years. In Southeast Asia, turmeric is used not only as a principal spice but also as a component in religious ceremonies. 1. Cold-pressed Castor Oil

This vegetable oil has multi-purposes that Indians have been using for a range of ailments. Do not use medicated or refined castor oil, but cold-pressed or kachchi-ghaani oil. It possesses antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties, and provides several health benefits. Castor oil has been known as a natural mask and it stops bacteria or contagious viruses from entering the body.

Here is what you can do:

  • Pour out 1 tsp of castor oil in a small bowl (katora). Take a cotton ear-bud and dip one end into the oil and apply around the inside of the outer ring of your nostrils. The use the other end to repeat the same process into the second nostril. The viscosity or thickness of the oil captures or blocks any dust, particles from entering the nostrils. Do this 3-4 times a day with fresh oil. (You can directly dip the fresh ear-bud into the bottle, but be careful about not infecting it.)

  1. Lime Juice

Drink a glass of warm water with ½ lime juice every morning. You can enjoy it as often as possible. Limes are also a good source of potassium, vitamins A, B, C, and D, calcium and

Magnesium. Drinking lime water improves digestion. Note that the lime is are acidic in its natural state with a pH of about 2, but once metabolized it actually becomes alkaline with a pH well above 7. It may also help balance uric acid levels because it helps make the body more alkaline. This means it slightly raises the pH level of blood and other fluids. It also makes your urine more alkaline.

According to a study published in the British Medical Journal, this happens because drinking lime juice causes your body to release more calcium carbonate. The calcium mineral bonds to uric acid and breaks it down to water and other compounds. This makes your blood less acidic and lowers uric acid levels in the body.

If you experience any discomfort like fever, cough and headaches, please consult your local physician and take appropriate action.
